The Nyack Library is a fully qualified, tax-deductible, not-for- profit organization under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donors do not receive any goods or services in return for their contributions. For more information on how you can help, please contact Bonnie Elder Yassky of the Development Department, at (845) 358-0734 or email at byassky@nyacklibrary.org.
Gifts to The Nyack Library may be made by a pledge payable over a five-year period. Many donors find that a pledge best enables them to give a sum in keeping with their interests and desires. Pledges may be paid quarterly, semiannually or annually. They can be redeemed by cash, check or securities. Our pledge form can be downloaded here.
Some donors find that a gift of securities can provide significant tax advantages. The Nyack Library is fully capable of receiving securities transfers. If you would like further information about this method of support for our campaign, please contact Stephen Hoefer, Manager of Operations and Finance, at (845) 358-3370, ext. 33.
Many corporations sponsor Matching Gift Programs through which an employee’s charitable donation is matched by a contribution from the corporation. In this way, donors can easily leverage the value of their contributions. In some cases the matching contribution is as high as three to one.
There are many opportunities to dedicate areas in the newly expanded and renovated library building. The donor may wish to honor or memorialize a family member, a friend, a business associate or an organization. Dedications will be appropriately identified by The Nyack Library.
